Well, I am going to be a pharmacist when I grow up, so I figured if I could get a job doing pharmacy this summer I'd be good to go. At first I started off the summer working at the Devil's Coulee Dinosaur Heritage Museum in Warner, Alberta. I worked there for about 3 weeks. I then got a job in the Costco Pharmacy in Lethbridge and I absolutely LOVE what I'm doing! I was so nervous on my first day, I almost threw up driving to work... I still get nervous sometimes, there are a lot of laws and regulations about patient confidentiality and stuff, and sometimes it's a little overwhelming, but I am totally excited to be a pharmacist some day! I can't wait to be done (which is horrible because I haven't even really started yet)
I work with the best people! They are so helpful, and so chill about everything. Seriously, it's amazing. Don is my favorite. He's got an iPhone and he's basically obsessed with it. He's also obsessed with motorized bikes, kind of like a moped, but not that big.. he just bought his fifth one. Now everyone in his family can have one. They are all just so hilarious! :)
With a job like that it's either go, go, go, or slow, slow, slow. I like it best when it's go, go... that's how it was this morning! We had probably 100 orders in 2 hours. The good thing was that I had adrenaline pumping and I was counting quicker than you could blink! Well... That's my life as a pharmacy assistant :) I absolutely love it! There's nothing I'd rather spend the rest of my life doing than this! A certified drug dealer... gotta love it ;)
Oh my littlest most favorite sister in the whole widest world! How I love thee! You neglected to tell the world that I GOT YOU THAT JOB!! Because I introduced you to the man who introduced you to the boss and put in a great word because he wanted me to marry his daughter really bad and I didn't want to not go to school and now she is engaged to someone else and blah blah blah... minor details really.... i can see how you forgot!
ReplyDeleteHaha strong work Justin. And Jessica...what exactly do you do at work? Just count out pills?
